Want to know our secret to getting great leads at vendor events?
It can be tough to get people to stop and chat at vendor events; often times people are afraid you’re going to try and sell them something they don’t really need so they move on down the line never knowing you have answers to many of their health&wellness questions.
We’ve started doing roller or spray make&takes to get people to spend a little time with us. We’ll often charge a small supply fee for the bottle/label and then let them essentially fill for free. Now, if you don’t get follow up information, you’re really just wasting your time. And no one wants to do that.
While people are making their roller or spray or whatever, start asking questions! I keep a stack of my personal wellness checklists on a clipboard. I’ll ask if they’d like to learn more about utilizing natural wellness options. 9.9 times out of 10 they say yes. I can easily hand them the clipboard with the form, and they start going to town. I offer an email series that introduces new folks to oils. Most everyone is interested in receiving it, so it’s a great way to grow your email list.
It’s amazing how quickly people open up and begin sharing what’s going on in their lives.
We chat about getting together and I always ask for a good day/time to follow up. This makes vendor events totally worth your time!
Afterwards, you can jot down any additional memory joggers on the paper – what they made, any specific products you discussed, etc.
We’ve found this to be many many times more effective than gathering entries for a giveaway. We hope you all have the same great results that we do!
